Hamish Moving Classes

Hamish has moved all his classes to Pakuranga as there was not enough room at the Church for the amount of people training. His new gym is call Auckland MMA and you can visit the site www.AucklandMMA.co.nz. He will no longer be taking any classes at the church for Tuesday or Thursday MMA Training or the Monday and Wednesday BJJ Classes. Check the new website for the updated schedule of classes.  Training at Pakuranga is now Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday if you have an questions you can get Hamish on 021818123 or email hamish@aucklandmma.co.nz

Tom is still doing some classes down at the church and he can be reached by emailing him faithmma@hotmail.com for information.

ICNZ 8 Next Saturday

ICNZ 8 will be held at the Auckland Boxing Association next Saturday from 3-6. Shaun Morris from Faith will be fighting on the show and everyone is encouraged to come along and check out the show. MMA Class Changes

As of this week we will be changing the MMA classes a little. Tuesday and Thursday 6-7 will be for Beginners and General MMA class this will focus more on technique and learning the basics. The Tuesday and Thursday 7-8 class will be for Advanced and Fighters, people will be asked to enter this class when they have sufficient Standup and Ground knowledge and also can pass a required fitness test. Also for the advanced and fighter class you must have the following equipment 16 ounce boxing gloves, MMA Gloves, shin guards, mouth guard and groin guard.

The open mat at Enshin karate on a saturday morning at 9am is proving to be popular and it is a great way to put your skills into practice with an hour of grappling and the option to do some MMA sparring as well. The address of the saturday class is Enshin Karate 2 / 54 Ben Lomond Cres, Pakuranga

I saw this posted on Facebook and thought it was very good so thought i would share it with everyone.

This is a compilation of what was a 4 part series article published in Gracie Magazine last year (July – October 2006, GM #’s 112 – 115). Gracie Magazine asked 20 of the best BJJ Black Belts what they thought were the best and most fundamental techniques that can enhance or play a major role in your competition game. To expand upon things, I’ve added most of the photos from a Google Image Search, and all of the videos from searching You Tube or editing existing clips and reposting them.
